Alaskan Klee Kai Rescue, Rehabilitation & Re-homing
EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!
Kennelz and Bitz, and the AKKAOA Rescue have teamed together, and Kennelz and Bitz is the newest rescue kennel for the displaced Klee Kai!!
The Alaskan Klee Kai is yet a rare breed with a limited number of breeders and owners, making the need for rescue a small one. Many breeders have participated in rescue to cover these needs over the years. As the breed continues to grow so will the need for rescue.
Alaskan Klee Kai Association of American in preparation for these growing needs has formed AKKAOA's Alaskan Klee Kai Rescue, Rehabilitation & Re-homing League. It is our hope to not only provide basic rescue for the AKK but to be able to rehabilitate possible *problem* dogs and to re-home them in a responsible manor. If you have or know of an AKK rescue need or request please contact Chairperson Lanie McWilliams.
This committee hopes to benefit the breed by offering another avenue in rescue and is in no way meant to be "competition" for any other rescue efforts. It is the hopes of this committee to be able to work together with other rescue efforts when a need arises.
The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching thereunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a whole family would approach the Rainbow Bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the bridge together.
The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look! Something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly. Get over to the path." "But that's not my owner," whined the pup, but he did as he was told.
Thousands of pets surged forward as a figure in white walked on the path toward the bridge. After the glowing figure passed each animal, that animal bowed it's head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the bridge, and was met by a menagerie of joyous animals. Together, they all walked over the bridge and disappeared.
The young pup was still in awe. "Was that an angel?" he whispered.
"No, son." The older dog replied.
"That was more than an angel. That was a person who worked rescue." ~ Author Unknown ~
