Kennelz and Bitz requires the folling
We must have proof of the following vaccinations prior to dog boarding.
Rabies
Distemper/Parvo Combo (DHPP/DHLPP)
Bordatella
(PLEASE NOTE - Bordetella (vaccine for kennel cough) - giving the Bordatella vaccine can infect your dog with the virus while it builds immunity. Therefore we ask for at least a weeks lead time before bringing your pet to us after having the vaccination. Bordatella effects animals like Chicken Pox affects people it is generally a virus that runs it's course however it can cause severe issues in older dogs and puppies. We sanitize the facility twice a day or more however there can still be a very rare chance that your pet may contract Kennel Cough even when vaccinated because it can be transmitted through the air and vaccinated dogs can still carry the virus. You never know when you may have to kennel your dog for an emergency. This vaccination should be given at regular yearly check-up upon request.
These are the requirements for a feline stay with proof from your vet.
Rabies

Feline Leukemia
And a negative fecal check for the past year
All vaccinations must be current within the LAST YEAR, with the exception of Rabies, which must be current within the last 3 YEARS.
You may fax your proof of vaccinations to us if that is convenient for you, to (218) 485-4544 but must have them with you at the time of check in.
We require a Signed contract at your initial visit, and lastly
All pets must be on leashes or in pet carriers when entering or exiting Kennelz and Bitz.
You are welcome to bring items from home, but please clearly mark them as picture shows. It is a good habit to write down special instructions to ensure you pet stays as close to the at home schedule as possible.
We offer huge natural shaded play area for your love one to enjoy outside time, and one large grass play area that has a summer doggy pool, a sandy area where dogs seem to love running up and down on, and our perimeter fence is surrounded with rock & cement to make sure no one digs their way out under the 8 foot high wooden fence! Potty breaks are offered every two to three hours with final tuck in around 11 PM
Boarding Details
We offer well lit, spacious, climate controlled walk ways that have been designed for the comfort of your dog during the day or throughout the night. You are able to choose a kennel with privacy, or one with a window view. We believe in lots of sun shine and brightness, which you will notice when you first walk into Kennelz and Bitz. We are proud of the fact that we work extra hard for you by sanitizing the floors twice a day with pet friendly products. People are always amazed when they walk in because we are truly a one of a kind kennel that was built and designed with your pet in mind. We have a fully trained staff on duty round the clock! Our grooming department offers you several options and discounts for departure services like a hydro massage and bath during their stay, or a pedicure (nail trim), or perhaps a day at the spa (full grooming at a discounted price).
Food Included in your pet's stay with us we provide premium high quality Fromm or White's brand pet foods which we feed our own pets and have available for sale if your puppy really likes it.
To avoid upset tummies Pet Parents always have the option to provide food from home in which case we ask that you clearly mark your pet's container with your pet's name and feeding instructions.
Medication
If pills need to be administrated, please bring them in a filled medication dispenser with specific instructions, treats to give them with, and any crushers or pill cutters necessary. Thank you.
Drop Off & Pick Up Times
Kennelz and Bitz operates like a hotel. Whatever time you check in the first day is your first day. Your are charged for an extra day IF you do not pick up your pet by 11:00 a.m.the following morning and so on and so on. Those guests picking up on Sundays will need to set an appointment with hours available before 9:30a.m and after 1:00p.m. Major holidays will have varying hours so please be sure upon making a reservation that you are as precise as possible with when you are going to be picking up or dropping off.
We are aware that there can be times where there needs to be the out of the ordinary arrangement made. It is up to the Kennelz discretion if there will be a charge for drop offs or pick ups outside of our normal hours (8-11 and 4-6) as described below.

SUNDAY
By appointment only. On Sundays there will be people in and out all day taking care of the pet guest but there will not be a window of hours that you need to rush to meet. We ask that you respect our wishes to attend church services as a family and we will be unavailable between 9:30am and 1:00pm. In doing this we are actually able to accommodate more pet owners and spend some quality family time all in one day.
