Patty has always loved animals from the time she was a little girl. She would go out to the woods for the day with her Father and blaze trails, track deer, and appreciate nature. She also would enjoy fishing off of Avalon and all around the Manasquan River Inlet for Blue fish, Bunker, Summer and Winter Flounder and the occasional Shark. She and her husband saw a need for a reptile rescue in Camden County and would take in unwanted and abandoned exotic pets of all kinds for several years. Patty started her college education with nursing and ended up going for a business administration degree with a double major in human resources with less than a semester left until she graduates. Over the past seven years in NJ, Patty was a General Manager for Wawa, Inc, a retail convenience store chain with close to 600 locations in a five state area soon to open locations in Florida. After reaching her self set goals with Wawa, Patty did some self-evaluation for her future and the future of her family. It has always been a goal to own and operate her own business and animals were a natural fit. In an effort to constantly learn and grow, Patty has been actively training dogs for the past three years and took the same grooming course that Lori Soltz ( the original owner ) took when she started. She spent two months in Moose Lake working directly with Lori and Gordy to learn the business. Once the house in NJ was placed on the market it, the rest happened very quickly. The house sold in under 30 days and all the other details have fallen in place nicely. She and her family are anxious to help you with all your pet needs.
Greg Frye
Greg grew upin Lancaster PA for all of his childhood. He comes to Minnesota from NJ where he worked for Wawa Food Markets as a Field Merchandiser for many years. He is an excellent father and husband as well as very good with the pooper scooper. In his role at Kennelz and Bitz he will be helping in the Kennel during the day as well as maintenance and facilities management. Greg is also a fabulous cook and will be the caterer for all Kennelz and Bitz Customer Appreciation Days. He is currently mastering his recipes for Fresh Homemade Dog Biscuits that will be sold in the kennel and by mail order. Yummy flavors like Cheddar, Chicken, Beef and Veggie are just some of the flavors available.
The Family
Carlyn, Bailey, Avery and Addison are the Frye children. They range in ages of 18 to 10 and are very responsible, sensitive and respectful kids. The have been brought up in a home where they are expected to contribute and help, the same goes for the kennel and grooming areas. Occasionally you will see them just hanging around to be near to Mom and Dad.
Lindsey is fantastic!! She was working at the kennel when we moved here and we have kept her around because she is so great. She works for the MSOP as a Security Counselor during the day and a Puppy Caretaker by night. We are thankful for her coming in when we need her to give us a night off with the family. She is very sweet and knowledgable of the business and the needs of our Pet Guests.
