THERE WILL BE NO GROOMING UNTIL MARCH, unless you are on a regular returning customer schedule. Emmy will be grooming the regular customers until August. At this time we are not accepting new grooming customers. Our trained doggie staff is looking forward to hearing from you soon!  Please stop by for a tour, grab some refreshments, and visit with our guests that are boarding at our facility.  We encourage surprise visits, and love telling you about our kennel.  Lori is the primary care giver, spending the most time with the precious pets then the rest of the doggie staff.  Lori is able to learn their behaviors, their favorite past times, and who needs to be cuddled or wrestled with.  She then relays this information to the night time staff member, which allows everyone to know each pet as an individual instead of a number.  Gordy is here 7 days a week to get them out of their beds, and to tuck them in at night.   Because we offer so much one on one time with each guest, everyone that comes to visit us become so attached to each person that is playing and cuddling with them.  The best part of having a full staff on board is the fact that your pet will be with a person 17 hours a day!  There is a very limited alone time at Kennelz and Bitz! We recommended that you take a tour with your dog to give your dog an opportunity to visit us and become comfortable with me and our staff. This gives your dog a positive experience if you decide to board with us, your dog will have an easier time assimilating into our fun time routine.

We continue educating ourselves on animal behavior, safety, training, and handling along with trying new product lines! Please book ahead, our weekends fill up fast...so contact us to make arrangements if you are planning your vaction or weekend getaway for the upcoming months.  Holidays and summers are our busiest times, so please schedule within three weeks in advance.  We will do our best to accomodate all of our existing clientelle, even if it means letting guests stay in our home!! Everyone loves Kennelz and Bitz, because we are so much more than just a kennel. We offer so many programs for exercise and play, and plenty of love to go around. We strive to make the boarding experience as stress free as possible for you and your pet. We have quickly become one of Northern Minnesota's most popular boarding facility due to the fact that we truly care for the pets we take in, and love each one!  We make each guest a star!!  Your pets stay will be caught on video tape as well as documented with a picture diary. We specialize in socializing dogs.  We group the dogs together based on their social abilities, whether your dog is playful, mellow or geriatric. The dogs play together either indoors or outside. We offer an indoor play area, a large, natural shaded play area which soon will be covered to offer protection from the weather elements. The dogs play together for four to six hours per day. At the end of the day they are tired from all of the exercise.  For safety measures, we will not group more then 6 dogs at a time either indoors or outside.  Because we spend so much of our time with the guests, please be patient to allow us enough time to return the boarders to the safety of their bedrooms when you stop in.  You don't have to worry if you do not feel comfortable with doggie socialization, your loved one will be exercised and given lots of one on one attention with our trained doggie staff. We are proud to offer you quality suites that have solid walls, which allow more privacy and quitness.  When the dogs are in their bedrooms no other dog can bother them or see them because of the solid walls. Our suites offer heated floors in the winter, and air-conditioning for the summer months and there is fresh filtered air cycling through out the entire building 24 hours a day!   Our boarding rate includes all services. Kennels and Bits has a certified groomer on hand for professional grooming which compliments cats, dogs, and guinnea pigs. We only uses natural products, hollistic shampoo, offers a stressfree environment that does not use tranquilizers while grooming pets. We sell chicken soup for the pet lovers soul, old precise, Natural balance and Next to Nature foods. We have leanin tree greeting cards and magnets for our customers in and around Moose Lake, MN.
